MEET THE MYTH
Puglia - Terra delle Gravine by UTMB takes place in the wonderful scenery of the Gravine which are two natural incisions on the earth's crust (similar to canyons).
This event involves 6 wonderful villages: the splendid Matera with its "sassi" a UNESCO heritage site, Ginosa, Laterza which has the longest ravine in Europe, Castellaneta, a city famous throughout the world for being the birthplace of the silent film legend Rodolfo Valentino and Castellaneta Marina with its splendid beaches.
From the Gravine to the sea, athletes will have the opportunity to take an experiential journey through the scents of the Mediterranean scrub and centuries-old olive trees, along ancient paths, the Gravine with the hypogea and the rock churches that testify to the first human settlements. From the Murgia to the sea on very technical paths where the athletes' muscles will be put to the test. A continuous up and down until reaching the mouth of the Lato river with the last kilometers to travel between the sea and the golden sand of Castellaneta Marina.
